New year and new winds: Let’s join forces at RALLA

The new year has begun again. The cold pinches the cheeks and thoughts begin to turn towards the coming spring. RALLA’s year starts sunny: we are launching new training online and live, and we are enthusiastically planning online courses. RALLA’s assessment tools have been implemented in educational institutions to support students’ observation skills, in the field of early childhood education to strengthen the assessment and planning of pedagogical activities, and in the field of rehabilitation to build a common language that enables inclusion and as a tool for collaboration.

RALLA is going international. Our assessment tools have also been tested in a kindergarten and preschool in Canberra, Australia. During her November trip, Tiina Lämsän also had the opportunity to exchange experiences with the pilot group at Ainslie School. Valuable discussions were held and based on the feedback, we will be able to further develop our method and operations based on the experiences.

Practical experiences strengthen research. Putting researched information into practice is truly successful when it actually serves practical work. It has been a particularly good experience for educators to be able to use the RALLA application to analyze observations made in everyday early childhood education about a child’s play and friendship skills, and to print out finished reports to facilitate pedagogical documentation.

Another interesting and meaningful year is coming. We have progressed at RALLA Oy mainly thanks to the efforts of three academic women. We have developed an expert, research and training company for supporting play and peer activities alongside our other work and with a big heart. We have worked long-term, with a mutually reinforcing spirit of teamwork, uncompromising trust and great enthusiasm. We are proud of RALLA, and of these achievements we have made together.

Special thanks also to our partners! A big thank you to all our partners and experts who participated in the trainings, both near and far. It is truly a great pleasure to work with you!

Changes are also part of life. As the new year approaches, RALLA is also preparing for changes, as our founder, Tiina Lautamon, is moving into well-deserved retirement after seven years at RALLA. With these changes, we are open to new experts and new ideas. Would you be excited to use research data, practical application, the expertise of experts and professionals, and the positive power of teams with us to improve the lives of children and young people?

Let’s continue the discussion about doing something new, internationalization and education in the field of early childhood education and rehabilitation! Contact Tiina Lämsän (+358 504428658 /WhatsApp). Perhaps you will join us in strengthening the opportunities for children and young people to experience success in their own peer world.

With warm regards and looking forward to the new,

RALLA-team Tiina, Vilja and Tiina
